L.A. restaurateur Spoon Singh has an approximately one-acre organic garden at his Ojai home, so it makes sense that his newly opened restaurant, Ojai Harvest, has a farm-to-table menu of starters, salads, sandwiches and mains with a focus on sourcing produce and meat from local purveyors. Look for Sous Chef Omar Uribe and Executive Chef Gina Jendusa at the Ojai Certified Farmers’ Market, where you’ll see them picking out ingredients for the restaurant. “I like being face-to-face with the farmers,” says Jendusa. “I’m inspired by seeing the freshness of their produce.” The Harvest Bar next door offers beer, wine and signature cocktails with local produce, herbs and spirits.
