Books in the Woods Book Fair Invites The Public to a Celebration of Creativity and Literacy in the Los Padres National Forest
We are thrilled to invite you to an extraordinary celebration of literature and creativity at the upcoming Books in the Woods Book Fair! Set against the picturesque backdrop of Pine Mountain Club, CA, this event promises a day filled with the magic of books, insightful conversations, and enchanting music.

Speakers
Author, Gary Albyn, will open the event with his award winning poem, Manzovo - Place of Elephants. Keynote speakers include New York Times bestselling author of 5 books, Laurie Frankel and New York Times bestselling YA author, Ginny Myers Sain, will offer presentations and sign books.
Kern County Poet Laureate 2024-26, Samuel Rain Benjamin, will read poetry selections and several local authors will also read their works. A panel of authors and publishers is schedulued mid-day.
Special Guest
Cold Case detective, Allan Fox, will offer a presentation highlighting his forty year career. Allan’s work has been featured in documentaries, podcasts, true crime books, and numerous news accounts.
Musical Artist
Ventura County Local (Ojai) J Peter Boles and PMC Local Vince Vinay will be performing amongst the serene beauty of Pine Mountain Club
Activities For Young People
Youth Ambassadors will promote reading and host activities for children and young adults at this family-friendly event. There will be face painting, and Indigenous Artist, Lori Myers, will offer beaded jewelry making while teaching participants about indigenous art.
